Bo is a Ph.D. student in Geographic Information Science with doctoral minor in Electrical Engineering (Machine Learning) at Department of Geography, University of Wisconsin - Madison, working with Dr. Qunying Huang.

He, as the principal investigator (PI), is awarded the Microsoft AI for Earth Grant in 2020. He is working as a research intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory supported by the Applied Machine Learning Summer Research Fellowship for summer 2020. Previously, he was a research assistant at National Engineering Laboratory for Satellite Remote Sensing Applications, Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014-2017.

He received the M.Sc. in ECE (Machine Learning track) from UW-Madison, the M.Sc. in Geographic Information System from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the B.Eng. in Remote Sensing from Wuhan University.
